Description

Ben Rose plays in front of Original Joe's on Stephen Avenue in Calgary. A bylaw states that he's not allowed to use an amplifier for his performances, which he uses anyways and gets ticketed for on a regular basis (he also got ticketed recently for selling his CD's in public).

I wish I could have submitted this into Street Photography, but it is edited due to being a stitched panoramic. Therefore it doesn't meet the requirements.

good photo - nice and tall too! good contrast in the darker street portion and the tower...i think it gives a sense of being overshadowed by the idealism the city seems to hold for itself over the reality of what the citizens desire in their every day life. good stuff!
