It has occurred to me that after 6 years of managing several social media accounts for the Calgary Stampede that I haven't been objectively artistic in that role. Many of the images I've taken have meaningful impact due to an interesting subject matter, but are seldomly taken for the pleasure of photography. When managing social media for a large organization I've found that the imagery I create focuses on a clear message rather than long term viewer enjoyment.
